If you used Moodle Fall 2011 semester or are enrolled in Perfect Match, DLPDE, or DUSI 2011, site maintenance done Dec 29, 2011 requires you to change your password. This is a one-time thing.
Click Login in the upper right corner.
Click Forgotten your username or password? link.
Follow the instructions in the 2 emails that you will receive.
After you have done this once, you can log in normally from then on.
If you did not use Moodle Fall 2011 semester, or are not in Perfect Match, DLPDE, or DUSI 2011, click Login and create a new account.

This maintenance fixed the 'error writing to database' issues.
Also, you can now use IE8 and 9 -- the uploading issue has been fixed.
You may still have to click twice to post a forum post in some browsers.
